Summary

Najpopularniejszy skandynawski poradnik ostatnich lat!

The four humors of Aristotle and Galen meet Myers-Briggs。 Here we have a modern Swedish attempt to corral humanity into four colored pigeon holes and subsequently hire consultants to train managers into improving their organizations by buying an understanding Erikson's book。 I was fully on board with a lot of background until we arrived at some of the more manipulative uses that it seems Erikson endorses, even if minimally。 The four humors of Aristotle and Galen meet Myers-Briggs。 Here we have a modern Swedish attempt to corral humanity into four colored pigeon holes and subsequently hire consultants to train managers into improving their organizations by buying an understanding Erikson's book。 I was fully on board with a lot of background until we arrived at some of the more manipulative uses that it seems Erikson endorses, even if minimally。 。。。more

I really like the concept and the layout of this chapters of this book。 Understanding each colour personality, the conflicts between them, adapting and approaching each one。 My issue with these colour system and author is that it is very generalized and silo'ed into that one personality。 The author states numerous times that changing yourself is not being true to yourself where you adjust to each colour when dealing when them but not growing to working together in a mutual understanding。 The aut I really like the concept and the layout of this chapters of this book。 Understanding each colour personality, the conflicts between them, adapting and approaching each one。 My issue with these colour system and author is that it is very generalized and silo'ed into that one personality。 The author states numerous times that changing yourself is not being true to yourself where you adjust to each colour when dealing when them but not growing to working together in a mutual understanding。 The author is definitely a red。 。。。more

This was a thought provoking book but there were no references or factual evidence of this behavior theory。 I’m also not convinced of the author’s background as a “behavioral specialist” rather than a psychologist。 He also seems to think very highly of himself and his ability to understand the rest of us idiots。 Nevertheless, it makes you think about how to have successful interaction or relationship with people that may think differently to you。

At the beginning might a good idea, but the last 1/3 of the book is quite a drag, it basically repeats itself over and over。You can read it if you have nothing vetter to do, but then again i think there are better books than this :)

To be honest, I am disappointed

This book was written by an idiot。

Thomas Erikson claims this book is rooted in science, but no scientific studies back up his theory。 He also calls himself a behavioural scientist, which is not a protected title, so literally anyone can call themselves that - so don't make too much of his authority, because it hangs in a very thin thread (at least for me)。 I would recommend reading the article "How swedes were fooled by one of the biggest scientific bluffs of our time":https://soccermatics。medium。com/how-s。。。Besides the point th Thomas Erikson claims this book is rooted in science, but no scientific studies back up his theory。 He also calls himself a behavioural scientist, which is not a protected title, so literally anyone can call themselves that - so don't make too much of his authority, because it hangs in a very thin thread (at least for me)。 I would recommend reading the article "How swedes were fooled by one of the biggest scientific bluffs of our time":https://soccermatics。medium。com/how-s。。。Besides the point that this book is completely pseudoscience, it was quite easy and fun at times to read。 I don't regret reading it, but I will not just buy into all the things he claims。 。。。more

One of the stupidest self help books I have ever read。 Don't bother except if you want to read it as comedy。There's nothing revolutionary about it。 No science behind it。 The author splits all people into 4 categories, which is the stupidest thing and has been debunked years ago。 Human beings are complex and cannot be categorized in this fashion。 Heck, even plants are more complex than this!I'm going to go have fun reading the 5* reviews now。 They must be as absurd as this book。 One of the stupidest self help books I have ever read。 Don't bother except if you want to read it as comedy。There's nothing revolutionary about it。 No science behind it。 The author splits all people into 4 categories, which is the stupidest thing and has been debunked years ago。 Human beings are complex and cannot be categorized in this fashion。 Heck, even plants are more complex than this!I'm going to go have fun reading the 5* reviews now。 They must be as absurd as this book。 。。。more

For me it was a lot of things I already knew, however it was easy and fun to read。 However, still very interesting to reflect upon。

This is a very interesting book。 I appreciate that each color has been explained very well with justice。 The thing is, in the middle of the book it starts to get too repetitive and boring。 I had a hard time finishing the book since most of the information is the same but was explained in a different way or with an example。

The way he segmented humanity into 4 colours seems logical and intuitive but also too simplistic。 I understand the logic behind why it is so but I can’t help feeling the method lacks depth of thought。

Relax, “Idiot” here is not negative, but Thomas Erikson got his Title inspiration from a businessman who think that everyone who couldn’t understand his mindset and who didn’t think or act like him are simply an idiot。 The book got my attention。 Thomas also took some concern to not offend anybody that’s why he refers examples personality of “Red, Green, Yellow, Blue” using “He”。 Along the way I read the book, some people came to mind and made me smile, bcause it really fits their personality / c Relax, “Idiot” here is not negative, but Thomas Erikson got his Title inspiration from a businessman who think that everyone who couldn’t understand his mindset and who didn’t think or act like him are simply an idiot。 The book got my attention。 Thomas also took some concern to not offend anybody that’s why he refers examples personality of “Red, Green, Yellow, Blue” using “He”。 Along the way I read the book, some people came to mind and made me smile, bcause it really fits their personality / characters。 You could be the combination of those colours, or at least 2 colous。 It’s fun to read this book, since it makes you understand why some people seem difficult or talkative or silent and etc, and how you cope with it。 。。。more

It is interesting to know that i am one of that color。 It is easy to identify some person near of me。 As i read it to the end, i found that it is not about to know my character but also how to treat the other when they mad, or how to treat the green and the blue。 So much new thing i get from this book。

není to zrovna kniha, kterou „čtete”, ale analýza lidí podle vlastností je hustá! -nečetla jsem ji naráz, ale tak různě。

It provides food for thought, I'll be thinking a lot more about how to communicate with people from now on。 It provides food for thought, I'll be thinking a lot more about how to communicate with people from now on。 。。。more

A big no from me。 The author presented 4 types of persons (based on 2 components in a nutshell, 1 - introversion/ extraversion, 2 - more inclined towards people/ tasks) and how to deal with each kind in the workplace。 Even though it is mentioned that a person can have elements of 2 or maybe 3 types, the main premise is that one of the types will be the dominant one。 I don't see a point in putting people in one of the box, I've personally found myself in all 4 types。 These types of divisions are A big no from me。 The author presented 4 types of persons (based on 2 components in a nutshell, 1 - introversion/ extraversion, 2 - more inclined towards people/ tasks) and how to deal with each kind in the workplace。 Even though it is mentioned that a person can have elements of 2 or maybe 3 types, the main premise is that one of the types will be the dominant one。 I don't see a point in putting people in one of the box, I've personally found myself in all 4 types。 These types of divisions are not something that is used in psychological assessments nowdays。 What makes more sense is measuring a person on a scale in terms of certain traits (like big 5 personality traits)。 The book doesn't offer anything new。 。。。more

Interesting topic, however the book feels quite laborious and I felt I'd "got the message" about halfway through。。。 although that could be my inner Red talking!
